Project Purpose

- Due to the rapid and ongoing spread of the Korean Wave, there is a shortage of Korean language teachers relative to the number of Korean language learners.
- To meet the demand for Korean language education, support the operation of the institutes, and establish a stable supply of local teachers, it is essential to continuously train local Korean language education experts and supplement the teaching staff.

Target Audience

- Local teachers affiliated with the King Sejong Institute residing in the area or prospective teachers (those expected to be hired as local teachers).

- Recruitment and selection of participants will be conducted through the King Sejong Institutes and operating organizations.

Support for operating the Korean language teacher training program
- - 100 hours of theoretical courses delivered through online (VOD format) lectures
- - 20 hours of practical courses delivered through online (real-time) and offline lectures
