② When collecting personal information from children under the age of 14, the King Sejong Institute Foundation may request only the minimum necessary information, such as the name and contact information of the legal guardian.The Foundation ensures that the legal guardian indicates consenton the website where the consent details are posted, and verifies that the lawful guardian gave the consent through mobile phone identity verification or i-PIN authentication.

① The King Sejong Institute Foundation, in principle, processes personal information only within the scope explicitly stated for its intended purpose.Personal information is provided to third parties only in cases falling under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as when the data subject has given consent or when otherwise specifically permitted by law. Except for such cases, the Foundation does not provide personal information to any third party.
② In cases where the King Sejong Institute Foundation uses personal information for purposes other than the original purpose of collection or provides it to a third party, the Foundation will notify data subjects and obtain their consent by publishing the relevant details in the official gazette or on the Foundation’s website, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

① The King Sejong Institute Foundation will promptly destroy the relevant personal information when the retention period has expired, or the purpose of processing has been achieved, and the personal information is no longer necessary.
② In cases where the retention period of personal information agreed upon by the data subject has expired, or the purpose of processing has been achieved, but the personal information must be retained under other applicable laws,the relevant personal information will be transferred to a separate database (DB) or stored in a different location for preservation.③ The procedures and methods for destroying personal information are as follows.

The King Sejong Institute Foundation destroys personal information recorded and stored in electronic file format in a manner that renders the records irretrievable. Personal information recorded and stored in paper documents is destroyed through shredding or incineration.

① The data subjectmay, at any time, exercise the right to request access to, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, or withdrawal of consent regarding their personal information held by the King Sejong Institute Foundation.
※ Requests for access, etc., to personal information of children under the age of 14 must be made directly by their legal representative. Data subjects who are minors aged 14 or older may exercise their rights concerning their personal information either themselves or through their legal representative.② The exercise of rights under Paragraph 1 may be made in writing, by email, fax, the Internet, etc., in accordance with Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and the King Sejong Institute Foundation will take prompt action in response to such requests.
