Fusion Gugak: Getting Groovy with Traditional Music (전통 음악에 그루브를 담다! 퓨전 국악의 세계)
Gugak, Korean traditional music, has transfixed the world. Fusion gugak, which is a hybrid of Korean traditional and pop music, offers a completely different style of music than the Korean traditional music, fascinating hipsters in their 20’s and 30’s. The new craze in fusion gugak is also serving as a fertile ground for performances in a variety of crossover musical genres, such as gugak-hip hop, gugak-band music, and gugak-pop music. Benji guides you through fusion gugak, which you can experience through busking these days as well.
