Content Introduction
「태권도의 날」은 태권도에 대한 관심 제고 및 태권도 보급 도모하기 위해 올림픽 정식종목 채택일인 9월 4일로 지정되었습니다. 태권도는 1994년 9월 4일「2000년 시드니 올림픽 정식종목 채택」되었습니다. 이후 2006년, 세계태권도연맹에서 태권도 올림픽 정식종목을 기념하기 위해 기념일로 지정하였고
2008년, 「태권도 진흥 및 태권도공원 조성 등에 관한 법률」이 제정되면서 「태권도의 날」은 대한민국 법정기념일 되었습니다. 2020년, 올림픽 정식종목 20년을 맞이하였습니다. 태권도는 올림픽에서 계속될 것입니다.

Taekwondo Promotion Foundation(TPF) was established by 「Act on the Promotion of Taekwondo and Creation of Taekwondo Park, Article 20」 and is a affiliated institution of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
We contributes to the development of the national sport Taekwondo and the enhancement of its international status through the creation and operation of Taekwondowon and execution of Taekwondo promotion businesses.
